Day 4

So yesterday we had synchro practice which was brutal cause it was freezing in the rink. It's always freezing there. But we got a lot done on the program, even though our coach did not make any spot changes like she said she would. We have a big competition coming up in a few weeks, and I really hope I get to skate in it.

After practice, Amy, Casey, and I went to Becky's house and spent the night. It was really fun, we played this card game I had never played before, and I definitely enjoyed it and want to play again. Becky let me drive her car and cook dinner which was awesome and made me miss home. This morning we made blueberry pancakes and they were fantastic.

Casey and I got lost on the way home. My bad. We took the walking directions on her iphone instead of the driving directions. Thought it looked a little odd that the trip was gonna take 9 hours....

I am going back to Boulder on Tuesday and I can't wait to see my car and my puppy. And my parents I guess. It'll be a short lived trip, but I am still glad to be going home for a few days. When is it acceptable to start packing? I'd really like to forgo homework and start packing now, but I won't. Need to keep my priorities straight... Darn.

Off to pack!

Day 2

Finally got registered for classes, so my stress level is significantly less. I will be taking Psych of Lang, Linguistic Analysis, French 2 and Spanish. Very different from my science heavy schedules in high school, but so much better. I never used to like Spanish all that much, however, learning French has made me miss Spanish so I am going to continue with both languages. I think I will be able to keep the languages separate in my head. Je ne peut pas parler como Tarzan nunca mas. Oh dear, downwards spiral, this next semester has the chance to be a hot mess of confusion. I look forward to it!

Last night I watched Inception with Andy, Amy, and Jaco. Such a wonderful and mind-bending movie. But oh so long. Still, I'm glad we watched it. I ended up falling asleep in Andy's room at like 3am, and later went back to my room only to keep waking up with fears of registration. I felt like a child on Christmas Eve, not able to sleep due to excitement of the next morning. Except I'm not sure why I kept waking up. I just didn't sleep well, maybe I was really nervous for registration, or excited for tonight. Either way I am exhausted now.

Tonight the one and only Russell Brand is performing on campus! So excited. Chris is coming to watch with me, I believe. Chris is my friend from Boulder who goes to BU, and he is awesome. I've known him for a few years, and I'm really happy we are both in Boston now. Also, today is Frisbee Friday. Every Friday a group of us get together to play Ultimate Frisbee in the park by IV, and it's always super fun.

Ta Ta for now, I am going to take a nap and do my doomed Shakespeare project.

Day 1.5

Day 1.1? Or Day 1.5? It's nearing the end of the day, but I have more to say... So 1.5 I guess.
On a sad note, my good friend Andy recently broke up with his long-distance girlfriend, and I want to shout out to him and say that we in IV are all here for him. I hope that things will improve, and just know that even though times are rough, they will get better. So for now, I'm here on floor 2 for you, buddy!

Looking forward to watching Inception, and have watched way too much TV tonight with Kassie, a fellow 2nd floorer. Tomorrow is registration. I am so stressed about it, like my entire body is freaking out. All my classes are filling up so fast, but hopefully I will still be able to get into them!

Day 1

Brief rundown of me: I am a freshman in the city of scholars: BOSTON! But, I'm originally from Boulder, so I guess you could call me a hippie. I am a synchro skater, and it pretty much defines me. I'm a linguistics major, and potentially Spanish and French minor, so clearly I am good with the words.

My [radio] show was awesome today. Shout out to Amy! She makes everything even more enjoyable. Maybe one day we will figure out how to make both microphones work... That's a lot to expect. But I have faith. She was in charge of the playlist today, it made a nice change. We listened to hip-hop and reggae. Usually I play indie and classic rock, but it's always good to listen to new things.

Class today was blah. I did not go to Shakespeare class today. It didn't seem necessary. Really I hadn't read the play, and I have a cold again, so I decided to stay in my room and watch Twilight. Life at NU is good, I feel like I am not making the most it yet. I know things will get more amusing, and life will pick up. So for now I am excited for thanksgiving break and practice Saturday.
